For those who appreciate the beauty of traditional furniture but don't want to pay 'antique prices' we stock an exciting range of reclaimed pine .
Timber The furniture is hand made from reclaimed pine. This is timber rescued mainly from old buildings, which is not only environmentally friendly but also adds to the character of each piece. This pine wears the scars of its past with pride so you will be able to identify old nail holes etc.
Character Timber is a natural resourse and as such will adapt to its environment . Humidity is the main issue and in a hot dry home cracks can occur which merely complement the piece and add to its aged character.
Finish Each piece is hand sanded three times with progressively finer grades of sandpaper until soft and smooth to the touch. Finally, again by hand, Stripped Pine Wax Polish is applied to every surface before the last exterior coat is buffed by brush and cloth to a pleasant semi shine
